Used to treat bacterial infection by susceptible microorganisms.
Flucloxacillin is a penicillin beta-lactam antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible, usually gram-positive, organisms. The name "penicillin" can either refer to several variants of penicillin available, or to the group of antibiotics derived from the penicillins. Flucloxacillin has in vitro activity against gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. The bactericidal activity of Flucloxacillin results from the inhibition of cell wall synthesis and is mediated through flucloxacillin binding to penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). Flucloxacillin is stable against hydrolysis by a variety of beta-lactamases, including penicillinases, and cephalosporinases and extended spectrum beta-lactamases.

Hepatic.
Flucloxacillin has known human metabolites that include 6-[[3-(2-Chloro-6-fluorophenyl)-5-(hydroxymethyl)-1,2-oxazole-4-carbonyl]amino]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid.

By binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, flucloxacillin inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cell lysis is then mediated by bacterial cell wall autolytic enzymes such as autolysins; it is possible that flucloxacillin interferes with an autolysin inhibitor.

ABOUT THIS PAGE
A Floxacillin manufacturer is defined as any person or entity involved in the manufacture, preparation, processing, compounding or propagation of Floxacillin, including repackagers and relabelers. The FDA regulates Floxacillin manufacturers to ensure that their products comply with relevant laws and regulations and are safe and effective to use. Floxacillin API Manufacturers are required to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that their products are consistently manufactured to meet established quality criteria.

A Floxacillin supplier is an individual or a company that provides Floxacillin active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) or Floxacillin finished formulations upon request. The Floxacillin suppliers may include Floxacillin API manufacturers, exporters, distributors and traders.

A Floxacillin CEP of the European Pharmacopoeia monograph is often referred to as a Floxacillin Certificate of Suitability (COS). The purpose of a Floxacillin CEP is to show that the European Pharmacopoeia monograph adequately controls the purity of Floxacillin EP produced by a given manufacturer. Suppliers of raw materials can prove the suitability of Floxacillin to their clients by showing that a Floxacillin CEP has been issued for it. The manufacturer submits a Floxacillin CEP (COS) as part of the market authorization procedure, and it takes on the role of a Floxacillin CEP holder for the record. Additionally, the data presented in the Floxacillin CEP (COS) is managed confidentially and offers a centralized system acknowledged by numerous nations, exactly like the Floxacillin DMF.
A Floxacillin CEP (COS) is recognised by all 36 nations that make up the European Pharmacopoeia Convention. Floxacillin CEPs may be accepted in nations that are not members of the Ph. Eur. at the discretion of the authorities there.

A Floxacillin written confirmation (Floxacillin WC) is an official document issued by a regulatory agency to a Floxacillin manufacturer, verifying that the manufacturing facility of a Floxacillin active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) adheres to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations of the importing country. When exporting Floxacillin APIs or Floxacillin finished pharmaceutical products to another nation, regulatory agencies frequently require a Floxacillin WC (written confirmation) as part of the regulatory process.

Floxacillin Active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is produced in GMP-certified manufacturing facility.
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, which is a system used in the pharmaceutical industry to make sure that goods are regularly produced and monitored in accordance with quality standards. The FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices requirements are referred to as cGMP or current GMP which indicates that the company follows the most recent GMP specifications. The World Health Organization (WHO) has its own set of GMP guidelines, called the WHO GMP. Different countries can also set their own guidelines for GMP like China (Chinese GMP) or the EU (EU GMP).
PharmaCompass offers a list of Floxacillin GMP manufacturers, exporters & distributors, which can be sorted by USDMF, JDMF, KDMF, CEP (COS), WC, API price, and more, enabling you to easily find the right Floxacillin GMP manufacturer or Floxacillin GMP API supplier for your needs.
A Floxacillin CoA (Certificate of Analysis) is a formal document that attests to Floxacillin's compliance with Floxacillin specifications and serves as a tool for batch-level quality control.
Floxacillin CoA mostly includes findings from lab analyses of a specific batch. For each Floxacillin CoA document that a company creates, the USFDA specifies specific requirements, such as supplier information, material identification, transportation data, evidence of conformity and signature data.
Floxacillin may be tested according to a variety of international standards, such as European Pharmacopoeia (Floxacillin EP), Floxacillin JP (Japanese Pharmacopeia) and the US Pharmacopoeia (Floxacillin USP).
