For use in the diagnostic imaging of adrenergically inervated tissues for the purposes of detecting metastatic pheochromocytoma or neuroblastoma. Also used to assess the sympathetic inervation of the myocardium via determination of the heart to mediastinum ratio of radioactivity in patients with New York Heart Association class II or III heart failure.
FDA Label
Iobenguane I-123 is taken up by and stored in adrenergic nerve terminals allowing for the radiographic imaging of adrenergically inervated organs and tissues.
Route of Elimination
Primarily eliminated via the urine as the parent compound (70-90%). A small amount is eliminated in the urine as m-iodohippuric acid (10%) and free radioiodide (6%). Less than 1% is eliminated in the feces. Iobenguane I-123 is initially rapidly cleared from circulation follwed by a slow clearance from other tissues over 4 days. Retention is the longest in highly adrenergically inervated tissues like the adrenal medulla, heart, and salivary glands. Iobenguane I-123 is not cleared by dialysis.
Metabolized to m-iodohippuric acid and free radioiodide. The metabolism of iobenguane I-123 and the enzymes involved has not been well studied.
Iobenguane I-123 is transported into adrenergic nerve terminals via the noradrenaline uptake transporter. It is rapidly cleared from systemic circulation and collected in adrenergically invervated tissues. This allows for gamma-scintigraphic imaging of these tissues and their associated organs for diagnostic purposes.
ABOUT THIS PAGE
A Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 manufacturer is defined as any person or entity involved in the manufacture, preparation, processing, compounding or propagation of Iobenguane Sulfate I 123, including repackagers and relabelers. The FDA regulates Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 manufacturers to ensure that their products comply with relevant laws and regulations and are safe and effective to use. Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 API Manufacturers are required to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that their products are consistently manufactured to meet established quality criteria.
A Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 supplier is an individual or a company that provides Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) or Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 finished formulations upon request. The Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 suppliers may include Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 API manufacturers, exporters, distributors and traders.
Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 Active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is produced in GMP-certified manufacturing facility.
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, which is a system used in the pharmaceutical industry to make sure that goods are regularly produced and monitored in accordance with quality standards. The FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices requirements are referred to as cGMP or current GMP which indicates that the company follows the most recent GMP specifications. The World Health Organization (WHO) has its own set of GMP guidelines, called the WHO GMP. Different countries can also set their own guidelines for GMP like China (Chinese GMP) or the EU (EU GMP).
PharmaCompass offers a list of Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 GMP manufacturers, exporters & distributors, which can be sorted by USDMF, JDMF, KDMF, CEP (COS), WC, API price, and more, enabling you to easily find the right Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 GMP manufacturer or Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 GMP API supplier for your needs.
A Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 CoA (Certificate of Analysis) is a formal document that attests to Iobenguane Sulfate I 123's compliance with Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 specifications and serves as a tool for batch-level quality control.
Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 CoA mostly includes findings from lab analyses of a specific batch. For each Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 CoA document that a company creates, the USFDA specifies specific requirements, such as supplier information, material identification, transportation data, evidence of conformity and signature data.
Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 may be tested according to a variety of international standards, such as European Pharmacopoeia (Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 EP), Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 JP (Japanese Pharmacopeia) and the US Pharmacopoeia (Iobenguane Sulfate I 123 USP).
