Treatment of prolonged, acute, convulsive seizures in infants, toddlers, children and adolescents (from three months to less than 18 years).
Buccolam must only be used by parents / carers where the patient has been diagnosed to have epilepsy.
For infants between three and six months of age, treatment should be in a hospital setting where monitoring is possible and resuscitation equipment is available.
Epileptic seizures
Adjuvants, Anesthesia
Agents that are administered in association with anesthetics to increase effectiveness, improve delivery, or decrease required dosage. (See all compounds classified as Adjuvants, Anesthesia.)
Anesthetics, Intravenous
Ultrashort-acting anesthetics that are used for induction. Loss of consciousness is rapid and induction is pleasant, but there is no muscle relaxation and reflexes frequently are not reduced adequately. Repeated administration results in accumulation and prolongs the recovery time. Since these agents have little if any analgesic activity, they are seldom used alone except in brief minor procedures. (From AMA Drug Evaluations Annual, 1994, p174) (See all compounds classified as Anesthetics, Intravenous.)
GABA Modulators
Substances that do not act as agonists or antagonists but do affect the GAMMA-AMINOBUTYRIC ACID receptor-ionophore complex. GABA-A receptors (RECEPTORS, GABA-A) appear to have at least three allosteric sites at which modulators act: a site at which BENZODIAZEPINES act by increasing the opening frequency of GAMMA-AMINOBUTYRIC ACID-activated chloride channels; a site at which BARBITURATES act to prolong the duration of channel opening; and a site at which some steroids may act. GENERAL ANESTHETICS probably act at least partly by potentiating GABAergic responses, but they are not included here. (See all compounds classified as GABA Modulators.)
Hypnotics and Sedatives
Drugs used to induce drowsiness or sleep or to reduce psychological excitement or anxiety. (See all compounds classified as Hypnotics and Sedatives.)
Anti-Anxiety Agents
Agents that alleviate ANXIETY, tension, and ANXIETY DISORDERS, promote sedation, and have a calming effect without affecting clarity of consciousness or neurologic conditions. ADRENERGIC BETA-ANTAGONISTS are commonly used in the symptomatic treatment of anxiety but are not included here. (See all compounds classified as Anti-Anxiety Agents.)

ABOUT THIS PAGE
A Midazolam Hydrochloride manufacturer is defined as any person or entity involved in the manufacture, preparation, processing, compounding or propagation of Midazolam Hydrochloride, including repackagers and relabelers. The FDA regulates Midazolam Hydrochloride manufacturers to ensure that their products comply with relevant laws and regulations and are safe and effective to use. Midazolam Hydrochloride API Manufacturers are required to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that their products are consistently manufactured to meet established quality criteria.

A Midazolam Hydrochloride supplier is an individual or a company that provides Midazolam Hydrochloride active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) or Midazolam Hydrochloride finished formulations upon request. The Midazolam Hydrochloride suppliers may include Midazolam Hydrochloride API manufacturers, exporters, distributors and traders.

A Midazolam Hydrochloride DMF (Drug Master File) is a document detailing the whole manufacturing process of Midazolam Hydrochloride active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in detail. Different forms of Midazolam Hydrochloride DMFs exist exist since differing nations have different regulations, such as Midazolam Hydrochloride USDMF, ASMF (EDMF), JDMF, CDMF, etc.
A Midazolam Hydrochloride DMF submitted to regulatory agencies in the US is known as a USDMF. Midazolam Hydrochloride USDMF includes data on Midazolam Hydrochloride's chemical properties, information on the facilities and procedures used, and details about packaging and storage. The Midazolam Hydrochloride USDMF is kept confidential to protect the manufacturer’s intellectual property.

A Midazolam Hydrochloride written confirmation (Midazolam Hydrochloride WC) is an official document issued by a regulatory agency to a Midazolam Hydrochloride manufacturer, verifying that the manufacturing facility of a Midazolam Hydrochloride active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) adheres to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations of the importing country. When exporting Midazolam Hydrochloride APIs or Midazolam Hydrochloride finished pharmaceutical products to another nation, regulatory agencies frequently require a Midazolam Hydrochloride WC (written confirmation) as part of the regulatory process.

National Drug Code is a comprehensive database maintained by the FDA that contains information on all drugs marketed in the US. This directory includes information about finished drug products, unfinished drug products, and compounded drug products, including those containing Midazolam Hydrochloride as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
The FDA updates the NDC directory daily. The NDC numbers for Midazolam Hydrochloride API and other APIs are published in this directory by the FDA.
The NDC unfinished drugs database includes product listing information submitted for all unfinished drugs, such as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), drugs intended for further processing and bulk drug substances for compounding.
Pharmaceutical companies that manufacture Midazolam Hydrochloride as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) must furnish the FDA with an updated record of all drugs that they produce, prepare, propagate, compound, or process for commercial distribution in the US at their facilities.
The NDC directory also contains data on finished compounded human drug products that contain Midazolam Hydrochloride and are produced by outsourcing facilities. While these outsourcing facilities are not mandated to assign a Midazolam Hydrochloride NDC to their finished compounded human drug products, they may choose to do so.

Midazolam Hydrochloride Active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is produced in GMP-certified manufacturing facility.
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, which is a system used in the pharmaceutical industry to make sure that goods are regularly produced and monitored in accordance with quality standards. The FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices requirements are referred to as cGMP or current GMP which indicates that the company follows the most recent GMP specifications. The World Health Organization (WHO) has its own set of GMP guidelines, called the WHO GMP. Different countries can also set their own guidelines for GMP like China (Chinese GMP) or the EU (EU GMP).
PharmaCompass offers a list of Midazolam Hydrochloride GMP manufacturers, exporters & distributors, which can be sorted by USDMF, JDMF, KDMF, CEP (COS), WC, API price, and more, enabling you to easily find the right Midazolam Hydrochloride GMP manufacturer or Midazolam Hydrochloride GMP API supplier for your needs.
A Midazolam Hydrochloride CoA (Certificate of Analysis) is a formal document that attests to Midazolam Hydrochloride's compliance with Midazolam Hydrochloride specifications and serves as a tool for batch-level quality control.
Midazolam Hydrochloride CoA mostly includes findings from lab analyses of a specific batch. For each Midazolam Hydrochloride CoA document that a company creates, the USFDA specifies specific requirements, such as supplier information, material identification, transportation data, evidence of conformity and signature data.
Midazolam Hydrochloride may be tested according to a variety of international standards, such as European Pharmacopoeia (Midazolam Hydrochloride EP), Midazolam Hydrochloride JP (Japanese Pharmacopeia) and the US Pharmacopoeia (Midazolam Hydrochloride USP).
