Founded in 1958, Libbs occupies a prominent position in the Brazilian scenario of the pharmaceutical industry: is among the largest in its segment and has consolidated market share. Pharmaceutical plant is located in Embu, São Paulo. We are a company that detains the expertise and innovative technology required in the production of a broad range of pharmaceuticals. Libbs pursues partnerships with Brazilian and multinational companies for the in-licensing and co-marketing of novel and/or patented products to be distributed in the domestic market.
The business partnerships we seek should preferably involve the following specialties: cardiovascular, central nervous system, contraception, respiratory, dermatology, oncology, hormone reposition therapy and gastroenterology, as well as biotechnology and biosimilar drugs. Our company also considers business opportunities that involve joint development of products in the final stages of research.
With installed capacity for innovative and similar medicines in various therapeutic classes, the company aims for 5% to 6% of its revenues to the development and innovation. With the Center for Integrated Development (CID), Libbs features a modern complex of laboratories for research of medicines and new synthesis routes for pharmaceutical ingredients.
In 2010, the Pharmaceutical Libbs incorporated the activities of Disaq, distributor of oncology products Libbs throughout Brazil. The Disaq has become one of our business units in April 2005, with the acquisition of Mayne Pharma of Brazil, a subsidiary of the Australian pharmaceutical industry Pty Mayne, and all operations were maintained until 2009. From January 2010 entire distribution became fully realized by Libbs.
With more than 71 brands and 166 performances, the Pharmaceutical Libbs has a strong presence in the following specialties: cardiovascular, gynecological, central nervous system, dermatology, oncology, respiratory and gastroenterology. Because of its participation in the market and ongoing evolution, Libbs offers a product portfolio that is hailed by doctors and patients alike.
