Carbomer Homopolymer is a high molecular weight polymer of acrylic acid cross-linked with allyl ethers of polyalcohols. Carbomer Homopolymer, previously dried, contains not less than 56.0 percent and not more than 68.0 percent of carboxylic acid groups. Ethyl acetate is used as residual solvent in the production of carbomer homopolymer type B. It is designed for use in oral solid dose applications such as extended/controlled release tablets, oral liquids, suspension & bioadhesive formulations.
