Also known as:9003 39 8, Polyvinylpyrrolidone k60, Povidone k 60, Pvp k60
Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) K-60 polymer is a linear nonionic polymer known for its solubility in both water and organic solvents, maintaining stability across a range of pH levels. This polymer has the ability to form hard, glossy, and transparent films, and it exhibits adhesive and cohesive properties. It is further divided into soluble PVP K60 Povidone K60, PVP K-60 Povidone K-60 USP BP EP, and insoluble PVPP (polyvinyl polypyrrolidone) based on the varying levels of polymerization. The soluble PVP has a molecular weight of 8,000–10,000.
